What is comics????

Whenever somebody asks “is this comics?” the answer’s “no.”

It’s not hard.

If you gotta ask, the answer’s “no.”

I think that people are more concerned with watering down the artform than with appreciating its innate qualities.

It can be comic-INFLUENCED, it can be comic-THEMED, it can be comic-LIKE, but if you’re confused, the answer’s “NO!”

Animation isn’t comics. At all. Neither are nonnarrative abstract paintings. There are very simple boundaries to comics and if you go outside of them, you’re doing something else!

End!
